w/o 2-24

Well, The first official weigh-in over.  And let me say, I am NOT HAPPY with my loss.  I really felt that with all the work outs and change in eating habits that there would be a significantly bigger number than 5 lbs. lost.  My only hope now is that when I go this week for the assessment that there will be some changes in those numbers to make up for the disappointing scale number. 

I WILL NOT give up however, as I can definitely feel a difference in some of my clothes.  And the mirror still reflects a lot of unfit and unhealthy that I still need to work hard to correct.  Sooooo....that being said I will still see Jessie 3 times a week and continue with my water workouts every week and continue to work on my cardio at home.  I hope all of you that were a little disappointed with your scale numbers will not give up either.  We're all in this together and WE CAN DO THIS!!!!

I am waiting and hoping that the weather will start to warm up a little very soon.  I really want to get out on my bike and do more outside walking rather than indoors and/or on a machine.  I feel like I get much more benefit from being outdoors rather than in.  COME ON MOTHER NATURE -  LETS GET IT GOING SOON!!

w/o 2-17

So another week gone by and yay for me - I'm down to 8 lbs. lost.  The workouts at Lean living have definitely kept me moving and I also do water workouts at Heisley twice a week.  So the moving is there; just need to stay motivated in the healthy eating area.  I want to be a little more creative in making meals that aren't so boring.  I found that some recipes in an eating clean magazine help to bring some different flavors to the plate and keep the calories and variety of veggies and fruit in the menu.  I just can't seem to drink enough water every day - I need to really focus on hydration more so I can get those 8 or more cups in me every day.  Sometimes I feel like I just can't swallow another drop!! I am looking forward to the weigh-in on Saturday - hopefully there will be additional pounds to add to those already gone!! 

The dinners at Cabana's have been great!!  Looking forward to trying something new each time I go.  Hopefully I can get some flavor ideas for home when I try new things at the restaurant.

BIG THANKS this week go to Jess at Lean Living.  She makes a struggle with exercise a little easier to do because she has such a great personality, she is a wonderful mentor and motivator when it comes to working out, and most of all because she is a cheerleader for each and every one of us that work out with her!!  She is the reason I return each time to keep this process going forward!!

What a week!

I totally missed 3/4 of this week due to illness.  I mad it to Tuesday boot camp, the first visit to Cabanas for dinner and then, BOOM, that was it!  After 4 days of going between my bed and the couch, I am DONE with being sick.  It's been a long time since illness has set me back like this, but today I feel much better and think that this new week can be my whipping post for getting my game back on again.  Back to a 4 pound total loss;  am striving to increase that number by the end of this coming week.  This has been a rough start for getting into a routine with this new lifestyle.  I hope that all the stumbling blocks are past me now and my program will go nowhere but forward!!  NO MORE SETBACKS!!

As for Cabanas, I was totally impressed and satisfied with the menu offerings and what I chose for my dinner. OMG, I have never tasted such a mouth watering, juicy, super tasty piece of filet in my life.  The pesto seasoning on top of it absolutely made this piece of meat heaven!  When one has a craving for beef, this filet fits the bill.  I left the restaurant totally satisfied, but I have been thinking about that meal since I walked out the door.  I realize there are other choices on the menu, but why bother when such a wonderful choice of beef can be chosen over the fish and chicken that are the staples for the rest of the week.  So, this is my go-to order for Tuesdays for a while!!

On with the new week!!!  I hope all my fellow lighten-uppers are faring well and feeling good about their progress so far.  I, my friends am a cheerleader for all of you - and I hope we all can overcome and conquer whatever presents itself this week that might impede our progress!!

lighten Up 2013

Well, it was a great Superbowl game; glad the Ravens won.  Up until today, I had lost 4 lbs but - not sure it was a super day as far as staying within my food range.  Tried really hard to stay away from all the unhealthy snacks.  I think I did OK but did not stick to my meal plan the way I should have.  So.... tomorrow is a new day and I am determined to get back to it.  I did find however that the things I would have normally chowed down on were just not as appetizing today.  I'm taking this as a good sign that maybe my brain is getting on board with this program!!  Time will tell for sure.

Hope all my compatriots are faring well and are finding each day to be happier and easier to work this program.
